Happy Valentines Day

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!

This year we started early, AJ loves to help decorate se we put up stickers on the window, set the table, decorated the piano and put a wreath on the door. I gave AJ the choice to pick valentines for his class or to make them, so we made 30 alagators, its tummy holds candy and it says "I'd snap at the chance to be your Valentine" so cute, it only took lots and lots of hours, next year were buying them.

I'm the room mom for AJ's class we had a fun party, decorating cookies, playing games with candy hearts, a bean bag toss, handing out valentines. What wonderful choas. On Valentines morning I made red heart shaped pancakes, bacon, fresh squeesed OJ. Everyone got to look in their valentines bucket and see what I gave them the boys got a big pencil, candy, a car, and a card. I gave Grayson the same plus a movie. They enjoyed looking in their buckets. We enjoyed a busy day. At the end of the day I had Grayson help the boys make "love bugs" there so cute and easy to make. The kids loved them.

Than Grayson and I ate a romantic dinner and watched a movie together. What a wonderful day!!

Anson's playgroup

Anson has his learning playgroup every Tuesday. He loves it he and asks everyday "marshas house" he thinks the lady who runs it lives there, how cute. This group is very structured for learning purposes, they learn to follow directions, play well with others, and eating skills. Anson loves to sing the songs and is so excited to use props with each song. After that they get to free play, they play in the balls, slide, swing and any other activity the kids want to do. Than we go eat snacks, the kids loves this, they get to everything themselves, pour their drinks, dish up their food or even spread their own jam. We all sing the "good bye" song and say good bye. This has been great for Anson and I, he learns and gets to play plus we get to spend time together. I to learn how to handle his screaming, tantrums, not sharing and getting him to eat. He has progressed so much these last few months, We love to see him grow.

Weekend without Dad

Thursday Grayson took off to Arizona, so I tried to spend some quality time with my boys. Thursday night Kyla and I meet up in SLC, had dinner at Paradise Bakery, yum food, our kids started to get restless so we went to Trolley Square and the kids played at Pottery barn kids until they kicked us out. It was fun to see all of them get along. Friday night I took the kids to McDonald's, we played together and ate happy meals :) no cooking! On Saturday we got up and took AJ to tae kwon do, he tested and received his green belt, an after a nap and lunch we went to the dinosaur museum. They always have so much fun playing in the sand, AJ wanted to know all the names. Anson thought they were going to bite him. That just made me laugh. Sunday we had a low key Superbowl party. Our friends came over with their son, so AJ and Anson played, the girls talked and we all enjoyed nachos. We picked up Dad from the airport something the boys love to do but were asleep by the time we got there. Since there wasn't school on Monday and dad worked we continued our no dad weekend by going to Ikea. AJ loves to play and of course Anson was mad he couldn't go play too but he enjoyed doing thing around the store. All in All we had a great weekend, next time hopefully dad can come!

cupcakes and surpises!

Friday I decided to make cupcakes for a neighbors birthday, and use some for my birthday on Sunday. AJ and Anson wanted to help, if eating all the frosting is helping? Anson was eating applesauce thinking this was the best thing ever. ( how sneaky I am). It turns out Grayson is the sneaky one. Starting Saturday morning I called about a coffee table being sold on KSL, the seller tells me its sold already too bad:( BUT as I'm finishing frosting cupcakes, Grayson says "the glass on our table is broken" I come into the living room and here is the coffee table I wanted. "Happy birthday" my family says. I'm so excited thinking this is a GREAT birthday surprise. Later that afternoon we get ready to go to a birthday dinner just Grayson and I, I'm also very excited about this, I love good food. But Grayson wants to go to dinner at 5, who goes to dinner at five? We enjoy a wonderful dinner together, the check comes and Grayson wants me to pay ( it comes from the same checking account) so I put my card in the check and set it a side, when I look back sitting on the table is a ring box, I can't believe it, here is a BEAUTIFUL ring better than my first!! ( if you don't know my first ring was lost when we moved into our house its almost been a year to the day of losing my ring. I've been heartbroken all year.) I can't believe what a great birthday this is. When we leave dinner I say its early let go to the movies right here (were in SLC) Grayson says he's hurting and needs to go home and get his meds, how can you argue with that. We head home and as we walk in the door there is a BIG "SURPRISE" my friends and family are there with a surprise party. Even my best friend from AZ (who said she was coming next weekend) also my brother from AZ. Its a '80s party everyone dressed in eighties clothing and hair.(no pics yet who knew I would need my camera) Everyone ate, sang karaoke 80s songs of course, we played a wild game of pictionary, ate my favorite cake, and enjoyed watching a slide show of me growing up. This was the best birthday EVER.

Thank you Grayson and Malissa for making this a great birthday I love you guys!

Here is my new coffee table and my ring.

A NEW YEAR!!

A new year a new start. Something we all love, starting fresh. Something I don't like is the new years resolution, I never know where to start, than I forget about it mid February. So I love this idea from tip junkie, is to create a word you will use all year long. I've been thinking about what word to use for 2009. The word I'm going to use this year is believe. Like I'm going to believe that all the hard work I put into with Anson is going to pay off, I believe the techniques will work. I believe that we will find something that will help Grayson with his Arthritis. I will believe in myself. I believe we will save more money this year. I believe we will spend lots of time with family and friends. I believe Grayson will do well in school and enjoy it. I believe I can a create a peaceful home. Take a look at things you want to do this year and create your own word.

OUR FUN SHIP CRUISE

We just returned from our cruise to Mexico! We went on Carnival our "fun ship" as they called it, and oh what fun we had. With all kind of activities on board from sunbathing to ping pong, karaoke nights and more food than anyone knows what to do with, we enjoyed our time. Our first stop was Cabo, we took a small boat 45mins south to Santa Maria and went snorkeling, we saw so many fish and returned with a few jelly fish stings. On the way down we also got to go whale watching and saw 2 whales with fins in the air, what a cool sight. They even served lunch on the way back to port. Our 2nd stop was Ensenada, we took a taxi to the blowhole which was fun and a beautiful sight. Than shopping which we bought lots of fun unnecessary items. And last we went horse back riding on the beach. Our 2 friends Mike and Malissa joined us and made our "fun ship" even more fun with all of us joining in activities, Malissa and I joined in on a dance contest, Malissa, Grayson and I played "family feud" with a friend we watched gamble for 2 hours and Mike sang "Sinatra" for the finale carnival show. Our nightly fav was to see what towel creation was placed on the bed. Than after all that fun we had to leave:( But with one day before we had to catch flights back to the real world we spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. It was nice and cool so the animals were very active, it was exciting. So thank you Grayson for planning a wonderful vacation and Mom and Genessa for watching 2 very active boys. A few pic of our FUN.
